Abbreviations

New to the chase and not sure what some of the lingo means? Below is a list of commonly used abbreviations by searchers. Now you will understand what they are saying.

BOTG Boots on the ground  (searching a location in person to look for the treasure chest)
TTOTC The Thrill of the Chase (the book that Forrest Fenn wrote about hiding the treasure.)
WWWH Where warm waters halt (a line in the poem.)
TFTW To far to Walk (a line in the poem and the name of one of Forrest Fenn's books which contain the treasure map.)
TC Treasure chest
SOLVE Your interpretation of the clues in the poem. What you think each clue means, it's location and the location of the treasure chest. It's your theory that you solved the poem but unproven until you actually find it.
   
   
   
   

Definitions

Below is the list of what is believed to be all of the nouns in the poem and their possible definitions. Forrest has said "every word is placed in there strategically, and you can't ignore any of the nouns in the poem."

Treasure 1. wealth of riches stored or accumulated, especially in the form of precious metals, money, jewels, or plate.
2. wealth, rick matertials, or valuable things.
3. any thing or person greatly vauled or highly prized.
Secret 1. something that is or is kept secret, hidden, ir concealed.
2. a mystery
3. a reason or explanation not immediately or generally apparent.
4. a method, formula, plan etc., known only to the initiated or the few.
Riches 1. abundant and valuable possessions, wealth.
2. valuable natural resources.
